Frequently asked questions.

It's a big day, and choosing your photographer is just one of literally dozens of things you need to consider, so to make it a bit easier, here are some of the common questions I've come across.

I hope they help. If there's anything else you want to know, just drop me a message and I'll get right back to you.

  • Have you ever looked through a good magazine and felt like you were right in the story? That's the aim of my style of photography. I want to transport you right back to those moments, to make you feel like you are right there at your wedding, every time you look through your photos.

My background is in lifestyle magazine photography and design. I love telling a good story, and I'd love to tell the story of your big day!

I realise that there will always be a few group shots on the day, but let's not get too wrapped up in this. We'll put aside some time for these shots, but I'd really like to spend the majority of my time making sure that I capture the magic moments on your wedding day, the ones I know you'll love and cherish.

  • I like, if possible, to meet all my clients before the big day. Realistically though, sometimes that's not possible... thank goodness for Zoom! I chat with all my clients about what they want out of the day, what special shots they're looking for, so by the time we get to shooting, I know the day, and your requirements, inside out. And yes, I enjoy beer and coffee… so let’s chat over one of those is possible.

  • I make sure that I've already visited / researched your venues, so that I know where to get the best photos of you on the day. I hate not being prepared. I much prefer to have fun with you on the day.

I make sure that I have the right gear for every wedding, including a backup camera, a ton of charged batteries, loads of memory cards and also a spare hard drive so I can back up existing photos on the day (I also back these up online).

  • It really depends on the time of year. In summer, I'm normally busier (more sunshine, more weddings), so it can take 2 to 3 weeks to get your photos. I aim to get these out to you as soon as I can, while still creating a collection of the best images of your day. You really don't want photos of people yawning, do you?

I aim to get a small selection of images out to you within 24 hours so you can share them via social media.

  • Depending on the package you've chosen, you'll get a minimum of 350 images for a half day and more for a full day. I normally average around 600 images for a full day.

  • I am willing to travel anywhere in the world for you! Anything further than 2 hours away, I'd ask for accommodation. You really don't want a sleepy photographer at the crack of dawn when you start getting ready.

  • There will be special shots of people you'll be after, or special things happening on the day that you'd like me to capture. Let me know what they are and I'll make sure I get them too.

As for all the other shots, I'll get them anyway. The dress, the shoes, people getting ready, the parents... I'm on it. That's my job. I've got you covered.

  • Not anymore, sorry.

  • Simple really. Send me an email, or give me a call. I'll send you a questionnaire, a contract, and payment information for the $250 deposit. Once paid, I'm all yours for the day. Exclusively.

  • It would be very much appreciated, but I realise it's also not always possible, so let me know, I always pack enough food and drink to keep me going.
